There were hundreds of buildings at one time in this entire area and these can be identified through the ruins which are seen.

One of the most electrifying sites within the ruins is the Kukulcan Pyramid which is a vast and expansive seventy-five food tall pyramid which has steps going up the entire side of the pyramid to the top. It is believed that this is connected with rituals that were associated with the Mayan culture.

There is also a ball court here where the players are playing for their life because those who lose will be sacrificed to gods.
